Feal free to correct my terminology and I apologize for the bad photos.
This flag belongs to a friend of mine. While the flag is tattered, it is original with the original pole with top. I understand the flag has 33 stars.
You note the box protecting it. We have several questions.
How rare? What value?
Any responses are appreciated.
Jim

Hi Jim, I will ask my flag friend. 33 is unusual for a centennial

Wouldn't 33 stars be before civil war, doesn't civil war flags have 36 stars.

The flag is a bit tattered on the edges and I was afraid to transport it. I will visit my friend next Wednesday and see what I can do.
I did not count the stars but he thought sure it was 33. I will check.
Here is a photo I took which is closer. I apologize for the bad photo. poor light and i amshooting through glass.
