It has always interested me as to when the small diamonds and stretch grip plates were switched over to the larger diamonds and std grip plates. Mine is a later dated example with the old style plates.

In my experience Puma, Wingen, Henckels, and WKC were likely the most prolific of all the makers. Just flipped thru my archives. Here's was their early version looked like:

Thanks for the kind words my friend. I looked thru my archives and I think I've owned about 6 or 7 Pumas every year right up to 1941. You can hold your head high, few knives in any collection live up to yours!
