Greetings to all here, From Victoria, BC, Canada, and please forgive any breach of etiquette. As a new chap, I hope I'll be forgiven...My (New) interest is in collecting German WW2 Police-Polizei, particularily Shutzpolizei? (Green underlay and brown thread) shoulder boards, lintzen, Camouflage uniforms a la Mike Beaver P. 227 "CAMOUFLAGE UNIFORMS OF THE WAFFEN SS", field gear, Etc. I have recently obtained, a set of shoulder boards, and collar lintzen (Sp?), green underlay on brown, from E-bay. Being a Virgin collector, I have no way of telling if, as advertised, these are really original. When I am able to figure out how (Primmer anyone?) to post photos, I will happily do so. Further, My main interest is in building 3 complete sets of uniform, web gear, helmet, soft cap/peaked cap, Etc. Late war-Police-Shutzpolizei-Defending berlin or similar....Does anyone have any good suggestions for web sites, books, photos-that would illustrate what a shutzpolizei OR, NCO, Junior officer would have worn "IN THE FIELD" late 44'-45? Any assistance or information would be graetly appreciated.
Cheers to all-DR1965/JHW

To post a photo click on the link "Add Attachment?" just under the typing area. Then "Browse" for the file source. It has to be under 110KB.
