A very prestigious maker of high end awards, they made a bit of everything it seems..
Has anyone ever seenthe maker variant with the grenade shaped like a lightning bolt?

un_swe, can you post a photo of your medal? Especially the makers mark. I have one that looks like #73 but I think it's a #13 with a die flaw through the 1.

Kevin, that's a nice one. I like when the medals have the Austrian style ribbon. What is the makers mark?

Raymond,
Maker Mark: I'll get a magnifying glass tomorrow.
Everyone is right, I've always thought these were cool also.
Here's one with the envelope.

Raymond: I'm pretty sure it's a "110" stamped on the ring of the Austrian style ribbon medal I posted.

Thanks Kevin. They really are an atractive medal, especially in mint condition. Having the document makes it even better. I'll try an take some photos this weekend, it's usually dark by the time I get home from work.

I never gave my packet a thought. It is marked Paul Meybauer, Berlin. The medal that came in it is unmarked. After closer observation I see a 7.--dj--Joe
