Hi all,

Today I discovered a militaria shop close to where I live. They sell both original items as reproductions. The owner was very open and looked quite honest and showed me what to look for on several items. However I am completely new to WWII collectibles, and from what I learned so far from all internet sources it is quite clear you can't trust one persons judgement (especially if he wants to sell something :-) So I was wondering whether you could share your opinion on the pictures below. I know they're not the best as I had very little time left by the time we got to the helmet and the shop was very dark (half of the pictures were too dark). You'll notice the yellow price tag as well -1200 euros- would this be reasonable if the helmet is authentic?
thanks

I tend to agree, but is this a Q? How about a dead on close up of the decal...

The helmet is an EF and I believe the decal (well, what is left of it) is indeed real. Unfortunately someone has "enhanced" it by painting over it. A real shame.

Cheers,

Darryl
