Hello Fellow Forum Members:
Can you give your opinions on this eagle? I feel it to possiblye be a reproduction, but I would like other opinions.
Best Regards,
John

I would cast my vote for reproduction. The casting is very crude and lacks much detail.

This is a cast reproduction, finishing can't be compared to original. there is a similar marking eagle for sale recently in WAF, you can take a look and have an idea of how an original looks like. very easy to see if it is an original. I think railroad eagles is one of the easily authenticated collectable if one look at more examples enough(compared to nazi cloth regalia ). There is also a reference book written by one of our forum member on railroad eagles you can buy one and look at all the picture reference
