Hallo, I got this HJ Leader dagger made from Eickhorn.
What are your opinions about originality?
Thank you and greetings from Germany.

Hello, Pommel on mine is retained by 2 rivet on the 2 side. RZM on blade is larger than the center of the blade.

I dont like it, just because its not text book but then a agin Eick supposedly had a few variations. If I saw that pommel on one of my HJ leaders I would die...I dont like it. Just my 2 cents. T

Tiep:
I was under the impression that the Eickhorn variations were found on the Eichorn marked Leaders. The RZMs were more standardized.
That is my understanding, Please correct me if I am worng.

Here are better pictures from the Pommel. The Swastika is well proportioned in my opinion.
Is this engraves by hand?
Thank you People for your help and time!

I see no problems. All HJ leader Eickhorns are not the same. Textbooks are limited. Many aspects of many daggers and many other items are not in books at this time. Books are guides-nothing more. We see "different" things most every day.

Sort of questionable to think Eick had 2 different pommel styles or stamps or molds for the pommel, as if it may be a high volume output as say an SA. Why such a difference when the other example is so much nicer looking, its diamond centered and detail to the swaz. All aspects of the detail on that dagger are poorer in my eyes. I have a mint 36 so I cant compare.

Eickhorn has SEVERAL different HJ Leader Pommels. Some were solid, screw on types while others were hollow and slipped on with brad holder. So, just because not too many of a model were produced by a company, don't expect the number of fittings would be so limited.

Ron is correct--As I said-- everything is not in the books. Books are a general guide-they are NOT absolute. Pieces MUST be judged as a whole-not just one aspect or what some book says.

Ciao Rieny, from my point of view, its an original HJ-leader. Eickhorn don´t produced all the time textbook daggers, that is not possible.
Best regards
