This was purchased from a naval museum in Germany sometime in the `70's.

Hi Trond...my understanding of such tallies is that if the letter 'S' in Schlachtschiff is not a germanic stroke for the letter, but rather an arabic S then it is a post-war copy. Yours, IMO is a copy.
