Gentlemen,
I picked up another Robert Klaas HJ this weekend.
What I find interesting about my 3 early, no ricasso knifes, is that they show differences:
- the scabbards: but they could have been switched over time of course. - but the stamping of "GESETZL. GESCHÜTZT" is 3X different (see pictures)
Wanted to share this and am interested in comments and remarks.
Maybe someone has experienced this with other makers than Klaas?

Wow,never realized there were these slight variations from this maker.Are the maker mark's themselves the same or of different sizes? The middle ones looks to have a slightly larger size to the cranes.Or is this just from the photo? Thanks for showing them.

Told you guys that this is the most interesting area of edged weapons. There are in my opinion more variations is HJs than any other edged weapon. CD Schaff has the most I believe with Halbach and Eickhorn closely behind. Have you ever noticed that most Ed. Wustoff blades you find are transitional with the GG markings? Russ
