Just got this nice photo of a policeman in the mail . Looks to me like early 1930's , since no Nazi eagle on the shako front .

The shako seems to have the raised roundel with the black Prussian eagle at center.

He is wearing a long blade bajonet with no clam shell and a dark color bajonet knott. Sorry , I can't make out the belt buckle plate .Bernd .

Great picture. Are you sure the bayonet doesn't have the clamshell? Looks like it might have it in the last picture you posted.

Billy: It looks like a reflection from the eagle head top of the bajonet --but no clam shell further down ! Bernd .
