Saw this in the morning news...... Can't wait to see how long it takes for these to pop up. Heck they can even invent their own photographic proof !!!!

This is a still shot from the new Cruise / Stauffenberg movie.

One of those trucks pictured was involved in an accident within the last few days..injuring eleven extras cast as soldiers..

Accident occured when the retaining pin for the drop down side was removed and not replaced, resulting in an unexpected dropping of the side when the truck took a sharp corner..

Hello,

The police uniforms look pretty good from here. Certainly better than in past movies. I wonder who their advisor is. Looks like authentic tschakos too. Even the colors seem correct.

Bill

Thats what I was thinking too. The eagles look a little high up. But overall I think, from what the photo shows, they did pretty good.

What was intriguing me more was the jacket being worn by the soldier up front. Looks like a white-ish color ?? Verkehrs ??

Kursk, your right. The photo was from an article about the accident. Fortunately I don't think anyone was seriously injured.

On an 'Optimistic' note .... perhaps this WW2 Movie will excite some folks, and add some present day credibility to WW2 Historical Enjoyment & Collecting?

Maybe Even, a new 'Generation' of WW2 Collectors can emerge from this?

Hopefully so....

(But, we'll ALSO have the Glut of 'Polizei Uniforms, etc.' - like the stuff which came after Band of Brothers & Private Ryan. Buyer Beware) Dave / dblmed

Hello,

I don't think the guy in front is supposed to be a traffic cop, not with a steel helmet. I think that is the faded old veteran look.

Yeah, the helmet through me as well..... but if thats a "faded" look, someone needs to keep Klaus away from the bleach !!!

Dave, I understand what you mean. Just hope that somewhere in this movie there isn't a still photo of some cop standing next to a SS LAH member. The dealer's will make quick use in upping their prices *LOL*
