Hello guys, I just bought this S/155K from a french farmer, and I just noticed the regimental marking, definitely german looking fonts!! I wanted to share some pics.
If it's '44 dated, I need it!

792: This mark is normaly seen on Weimar bayonets only ...sometimes on the guard, sometimes on the ric. Anthony Carter and I spoke about these marks, years ago and couldn't come up with a viable answer. The fact that this mark is on an early S/155K,(1934), might mean that certain unit marks prevailed after the Weimar period...OR the guard was taken from an older 84/98. Just my thoughts. Jack

Arnaud, Ive seen commercial 98K bayonets with the Police eagle in that location, but dont recall offhand any like the one posted. The scabbard seems to be in much better condition than the bayonet itself. Is it a rework? Best Regards, FP
