What do you guys think of this Puma HJ? Is Puma a difficult maker to find in the HJ? I believe it is an early period knife with the inscription ground off and the buffer pad is missing. Is there any way the buffer pad can be replaced? The scans are the best I can do right now.

ADP, WELCOME to the forum! You do have an early one(no ricasso), as for rarity I think puma is one of the tougher ones to locate, Russ would be able to tell you right on how rare. As for the buffer replacement I think it can be done but not sure. Here is a pic of my puma for comparison for you, it's of the same vintage with the inscription still there.
