I thought it would be fun to start a thread for everybody to show their all-time favorite camo para helmet. You don't have to own it to show it. This one, in the Imperial War Museum in London, is mine!

As I have round about 250+ camo FJ helmets in my files it�s too hard to find my ultimative favorite. Most are awesome lids.

I�ll take this one for the thread. I like, because it�s out of my own collection.

This was posted a long time ago on another forum, unfortunately it's not mine.
We all love a good Normandy or tropical camo but this guy actually blended shades of green while the colour was still wet. For some reason I love it!

Wonderfull pots! Yannis, that is a tremendous camo! Chris, is yours a snow whitewash? Can we see more?

Here is mine, a faint feldpost number in the liner suggests its original owner was in St. Lo.

A couple of the helmets in my collection.
First an example of the smallest size made-picked-up north of Carentan on 11 June, 1944, by Captain Fred Han**** C/502 PIR, 101st Airborne.

A shot inside, showing the liner, with original owner's name written on the leather. He was in the 14th (anti tank) company. Only detractor on this helmet, is the chinstraps were trimmed at the rim.

The 2nd helmet pictured was liberated by the IPW officer of the 502 PIR, but he can't remember if he got it in Normandy or Holland. Since FJR 6 fought the 101st at both places, 'KLUGE' of 14th Kp could have been a member of FJR 6. However several other FJ units also engaged the 101st along Hell's Highway, so I'm hoping the name 'KLUGE' will be brought-up by someone who attends the FJ reunions in Germany, or who perhaps has a company roster for 14th Kp of FJR 6.

I attended many FJ reunions in the 80's and 90's but I'm afraid they are all but over now. (The guys are just too old in most cases to travel in any numbers.) You might try placing a note in the Suchdienst section of the Bund Deutche Fallschirmjaeger's magazine.
