I just received this bayonet to add to my collection. As a rule I buy only German, but this one is very nice, it has a small amount of rust at the top of the blade. It is an 1879 French Gras bayonet with matching scabbard. There are different stamps all over the crossguards, scabbard ball and the rifle slot. If anyone can decifer would appreciate it very much. Thank you, Jim
Looking for EKI spanges, first model intermediate and second model L/12.

Hi Jim
Nice Gras Poicon controles are difficult to decifer Most probably the circled M on crossguard is Directeur de Manufacture Col. Maignien. He was director of Saint Etienne 1873-1891
