Gents,
I'm in a quandry. I'm considering a LW tropical tunic (tan) and a pair of LW straight leg tropical trousers (also tan). There are some imperfections (a little rust some stains), nothing big, no damage or repairs. The tunic doesn't have boards, but does have the shoulder buttons, and a good original to the tunic eagle. Well, anyway I've been trying to get some comparative prices, and really can't seem to get a good range. I'm looking at about $2600USD, and thought that might be a bit pricey--Hell, I paid $2K for my Hermann Meyer hat! The items are good, of that much I'm sure, but i thought they might be a bit high. What price range should I be looking at? I can remember when I could buy them for $40.00, but wasn't into them then!

That price is a more than bit high, IMHO. I would feel that 19-2050 dollars for the tunic(without shoulderboards) and trousers.
Can you please post some photos? I would love to see them!!
Warm regards Paul

Sounds a bit hight..for 2000k I would expect a MINT flawless jacket...but..that being said..prices everywhere continue to skyrocket..and Luft tan tropical tunics are not that common these days...

Well gents, guess it's OBE now. The jacket was offered on Collectors Guild. I was waiting for an escrowe check to clear my bank so I could make the purchase, and just got the word that the consignor decided to take back the tunic! Guess I'll have to look elsewhere. I've seen a couple on other sites, but each one had its own "issues" that influenced me to pass on them. Unfortunately, because I was planning on buying the jacket and pants, I passed on a no-decal M40 Luftwaffe helmet at a relatively decent price. Oh well, the heck with those common helmets! I need not be distracted from finding those two elusive pristine DAK camo SD and DD LW helmets. They're out there; I know they are! And...maybe one o' them tropical uniforms will fall into my lap. It could happen....(And monkies will fly outta my...well, you know!) Steve Z.

Steve
I am sorry that you lost out... there will be a next time. Maybe a better price too!
Scott,
2000 is a lot of money for the tunic... but I was quoting the price for the tunic and the trousers.
Regards Paul
