Stephen,

I could not help but notice the wonderful black SS-TV helmet you posted yesterday on the recent thread titled "Helmet Experts". I know where this helmet is (or at least where it was?) and it is (was) much too expensive for me. Is it now yours?

If so...show us more! Eek

Cheers,

Watch it Stephen, Darrly's on your tail now, hide your helmet Wink

Seriously, I agree, lets see more please.

Here's one of my blackies, not a great image, need to re-take it.

Cheers

A nice one, Don. We'll have to "talk" too. Cool I believe you even have another blackie which belongs here in Canada.

Cheers,

Absolutely outstanding helmets, gentlemen! Now wonder for Darryl's love call. Big Grin A beautiful satin finish. Probably, one of the best in town.

Wow!

Where do you guys find these early Allgemeine helmets? Man, I have problems trying to find a decent single decal Waffen ss helmet.

Stephen,

This is the same helmet I know about then...from the western US. It is very expensive and way beyond my pay level but it is a wonderful helmet to be sure. I would love to examine it in hand.

Here is an image of the inside. It has an M31 liner which is rare in a black SS transitional helmet...at least in my experience.

Cheers,

Don, You know I just love that helmet. Big Grin

I'm not going anywhere... It's going to take much more than one inexperienced and naive guy to get me to leave. Thanks for all the comments guys, Smile

Hi Guys,
Beautiful helmets, I am keeping an eye out for a nice blackie this year, I collect combat/feldgrau SS helmets but one of these blackies would be tempting.

Hi Tonym,

Welcome to the GDC forum...nice to have you with us. I believe we know each other from off-forum emails??

The "blackie" that Hooper posted originally on another thread and I reproduced above is available (last I heard). However, it is super-expensive!

Cheers,

Darryl

Thanks for the welcome back Darryl, I was on this forum before it changed but then lost touch for a while.
Your tempting me with this "blackie" and I think if I was not moving to abroad shortly then I could really think on this one.
It`s my 40th birthday this summer, maybe I could hint to the wife to get me something really nice, LOL

Ah yes, brings a shiver to my spine! Yes I know where this RZM helmet presently lives and unfortunately it's not at my house. Frown I do have a black DD RZM in my own collection but this one is a nicer example. Gee, thanks for posting it, Stephen...you're making me jealous.

Here's my example...
