Hi All - I was considering selling this bayonet, but want to make sure all is on the up and up. I saw a similar one posted on this thread in Picture #5 with an inverted etch, the 3 inch eagle and AWS mark. Ges. Gesch. is also in the top of the etch. Weren't these made by Klaas for AWS if I remember correctly? Link below to similar one:

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jeff,

I believe those eagles with the stylized borders were made by Klaas & presumably sold to Wingen. Very beautiful piece, looks completely fine to me.

As Hubertus's pictures reveal Anton Wingen may have had several orders of this pre-38 Klaas eagle pattern (with small different inserts) for sale in their retail show displays. This Klaas eagle remains a great collectable no matter the trademark or different add on's
You've got a nice etched dress bayonet there!!
