I'll go out on a limb and say that the average price for an SA in EX+ condition in the UK is around the 430.00 mark or approximately USD $850.00.

Not in EX+ condition... not even from a Dealer.

These were around 500 each! but try finding these makers this good anywhere else for less...
I dont mind paying a bit over the top if you can see and handle the stuff. Especially if there is a good choice of daggers, makers, condition, and price (if you are not so concerned over condition).

Does he have a website? Mongo, as regards paying a bit over the odds I think the satisfaction of owning nice stuff pays off eventually, if you have patience. Nolan

Thanks Mongo, saves searching then. I guess he's a local guy, nice type to have around, or at least know, reminds of my old collecting days when Harvey Riley and Barry Smith were just a stone's throw away, both good lads and now both sadly gone, wonder what will happen to Harvey's personal collection, he had some really nice stuff, hope I'm around when (or if ever) that lot get disposed of.

Harveys "Stuff" has been the source of much speculation in UK circles. His partner was to sell all at various Fairs. Then it was the subject of internal Family wrangling. Then it has "All gone to the East" Then a Dealer reportedly had it all on consignment from the "Family". Recently I heard it was "dripping" onto the Market piecemeal??? Whatever.I sure miss him.Shows are not the same without him and his daggers... Seiler (Yank in UK)

It was a great shame, I never met him personally but had some conversations with him over a few daggers by e-mail.
Clearly he was an extremely knowlegeable chap and I have heard a few people discussing what they think will happen to his collection.
I take it that it must have been a fabulous collection?
