I have seen this before when something is attached to TR and Imperial era swords. Inclosed is a pix of crossed cannons attached to a Grosser Lionhead sword. Which I think is pretty cool.

Yea Dow, as have I. The one I posted looks like an Eickhorn, missing it's leather finger loop. The eagle on the langet looks period, but who knows. As we know, there are folks out there who love the "enahnce" period stuff. I had a nice unit marked police bayo, that some knuckle-head along the way stamped with runes on the blade to "enahnce" it.
