Opinions please on wether it is best to have a minty pair or a pair that has seen the combat zone.It is my understanding that the Officers removed the silver braiding to deflect the fact that they were Officers in the hope that snipers would not pick them out,but were forbidden to remove the pips,is this correct?
How do these stand,real or fake?.Grip

Good to meet you today, officers did not remove there pips, they did though sometimes remove there tabs, below is a closer shot of the runic emblems I have

GRIP ....Looks like a set of Nice "Worn Tabs" - but I leave the final authenticity to Others, more astute in SS Cloth...

I've read (? Angolia) that the Tabs / Wear changed in, I believe 1940, to delete the Silver Tab brading - but some guys 'ignored' this, and braided edged tabs were seen in Some, until war's end.
