Hi guys,
I picked this portapee up over the weekend.Is it zoll or polizei? Were zoll portapees tied in the police manner or Heer fashion? Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Len,
Very nice looking knot you have there. While the bulb is similar to the polizei knot, I don't think it is polizei as the strap is different. I'm thinking it's either a Zoll knot or a Prison Official's knot. The last Prison knot I saw, think it was Houston's for sale here on GD, had a cloth strap with cloth thread and yours looks like it's got a leather strap with metallic threads. Nice piece either way.

Land Customs Officer grade knot. Lower ranks have a plain black strap. Prison is green and gold. I don't know what the correct "tie" was like for the bayonet. For the sword-I suspect the Heer manner.
