hello all , i know i should know this, but i`ve gone blank!. holler didn`t make daggers in berlin i believe, so a `holler berlin` mm is fake?. excuse the dumb question, but i`m having a `blond moment`. (before anyone has a hissy, i am blond!) Wink

It happens to me too, that's way you have friends to help. Yup, the Berlin trademark is the Big Sign that yells, I'm a Fake! It should have Solingen on the bottom.

I think that even some dealers have a blond moment, as Phillip-militaria has a Holler Berlin blade for sale in his bits and bobs area, and its been there a while even while He also had a proper mm Holler blade for sale on the same page at the time.

Another good sign is the thermometer lines/digits are not as crisp and fewer of them on repro's.

Not regarding the "Berlin" feature which FOR SURE is postwar:
The lines/digits in the H�LLER thermometer CAN be a sign concerning originallity if done slobby and uncarefully BUT the number CAN vary on original, period ones!
