If you look closely at the upper arm, you can see what appears to be very small rises on it's relief. If it was done at the factory, I would image the top of the upper arm would be totally flush. Good job none-the-less and an interesting piece.
All things considered, the mothers cross is an attractive award. Still affordable to collect. The gold and silver awards really like nice when thier gilt/wash is intact.
