Guys,

This showed up the other day. #677 - Very early badge. I wanted to share.

It was issued to Waldemar Doenges (the "oe" is really an "o" umlaut). Born 04Aug 1907.
He joined the party on 01Apr 1925, and was awarded the badge 20Dec 1933. He lived in Munich, worked as an office clerk.

Thanks Stephen for the sanity check.

Already attributed. I didn't read the description close enough. Congrats!

I forgot to mention that a lot of these badges were awarded to ordinary members such as laborers which were the back bone of the Party. It's very rare to find one attributed to an SS Officer or high level NSDAP member.

Sanity nothing - I almost bought it myself. The least you could do is let it visit me once in a while. Big Grin

Nice badge (and a real steal, if I may say so). Glad you could find info on the owner. Often the earliest guys are office clerks, teachers, shopkeepers - the grassroots people the NSDAP appealed to.

Congrats!

Cheers,

Stephen
