Since I'm a smoker,it seems natural I have an interest in pipes and lighters. While not a big collection as my militaria,it's growing slowly.

Rich,
Collect military related lighters? Been wanting to get into that myself.
I know of, and may buy, a RAF engraved Zippo for my collection. If not though, I'd be happy to help you get it if you're intersted.

Rich, I'm a nonsmoker but I really enjoy seeing these and have one or two myself. Thanks for showing such nice and artistically carved pipes.

I knew I had a picture somewhere.
Rich, I've seen the antique version of the claw pipe, didn't know they were still making them. Again very nice examples.
1. Skull pipe
2. Huntin dog pipe/ First time I saw this pipe, "I thought what the heck". Reminded me of the "because he can joke", till I got a closer look and saw the goose.
3. Hunter holding onto a buck. This is a very old pipe. I love the intricate and detailed work that was performed on it and one of my favorites.
Hope you like them as much I do. Enjoy!

This is almost certainly a Hawk's claw as it's not big enough for an eagle.

Carved in the side of the Elephant tusk, circa 1900 I should think.

Hmmm. It won't let me make a direct link because you must have a mambership and sign in. It interested you con go to manions german section and type in "pipe" in the search. It is a nice looking carved piece... but I know nothing about pipes. Anyway, good hunting, Johnny
