What did I say about the other cap? Are the insignia real? No. Is that tag 60+ years old? No. Is that sweat band 60+ years old? No. How rare is this cap? As rare as they come and expensive, $25,000++, if not more and it won't show up on Helmut Weitze's site or on the internet for sale. David

Petsamo,,,,,,,Iv entered these threads of yours late because Iv been away andI see that you have posted perhaps some of the rarest SS-Items to be found, the white ASS summer cap If I remember was only issued for 6 months in the 1930s,I have been lucky to see and handle an original one of these caps that was with a white summer high leaders ASS jacket, that was in the keeping of The Old Brigade before it was shipped to the USA several years ago,I think the same one is pictured in Ulrics book on the SS. Anyone who has seen an original [I wouldnt think they are more than a dozen of these around] would know that they are NOT manufactured in the way your image gives us.Some of the 'high end' dealers---- I use this term loosely, put these on their site knowing full well that they are rubbish and hope that Mr Newbie will part with their cash.Sorry but Dont even go there with the items that you have shared with us like Sieler and Violin have stated they just dont come on the market,,,,,,,,, Sorry if you have already bought them and do hope you can get your money back if you have!

Same series of fakes as the Muller and the others that just have a political eagle on the inside. They are always overpadded, and usually use a brushed cotton instead of velvet. Sorry.

Good day, gentlemen! Tanks a lot for your participating in my topics! Sorry to say, I've already bought them. But they were bought at well-spreaded dealler.I have guarantee sertificates for all these items.I would like hear more exact drawbacks of these things. At pesent, I've just understood that there were no such eagles and dead heads that time. Can anybody show original general's eagles and dead heads except aluminium? Thank you.

I think this Dealer knows nothing or sees you as a soft touch and is "taking advantage" of you. You want to send it all back for a TOTAL REFUND, IMO Seiler (Yank in UK)

I have learned that a life time certificate doesn't mean anything. I got two generals caps from Weitze years ago and they were bad. I got my money mostly back not because of a lifetime warranty but because his return policy was generous at six months. If you have a lifetime warranty you still have to prove to the dealer that it is bad. He may say that it is good and you say it is bad or that three guys on the internet say it is bad or even that you have in hand two written documents from other experts that say it is bad. Then you are in just an old fashion ****ing match. SO, you see where this is going. If you have a fake ss generals cap that you paid $25,000 for and you wait a year and decide you want your money back you will find the dealer not wanting to give it back because he doesn't have it. He might, and I do mean might, take it on consignment. I have had that happen recently on a dagger that was trashed on this site and on inspection by two other dagger savants, and I got my money back after the dagger was sold again. The dealer I bought it from has written MANY books on the subject. The dealer that has sold these items is one of two things only. He is either totally ignorant on third reich material or he is a total crook. There are only these two possibilities. You cannot say that he knows a lot about most things and just isn't up on caps, not after selling all these high end caps. AND you cannot say the old crap line of buyer beware. Yes you need to do your study but HE IS STILL A CROOK NONE THE LESS. David

For the present, I don't want to name the dealler's name. Sorry. I am glad you all help me to learn details. But to return everything, I realise, I have to know max defects on each item. At present all defects stated here are very relative. Help me please with this and other items. David, I fully agree with you but it doesn't make me ease. Yes, I am from Russia. Will you prompt me, please, what "Mathias Fritz" means?
Thanks, Vladimir.

It is bad. As are the other items you have posted. That is the harsh reality. I would get your money back from whoever sold you these things, you have been taken partner.

It just dawned on me that from a legal stand point, if you have a lifetime guaranty, then that is proof positive that the dealer is a crook. By giving you a lifetime certificate he is stating that he knows what he is doing and knows that his stuff is good. SO as I stated before there are only two possibilities and now we are down to one. He is a bald face lier and a crook. I say this with no bias because I have no idea who he would be. As Valdimir is figuring out, you have to show why something is bad and many good dealers are reluctant to put their thoughts in writing because of legal ramifications. David
