My favorite of the non-political daggers, absolutely beautiful Bob! Got any on display with the hangers, I think the hangers are also awesome on these 2nd luft daggers.

Bob,
Now I know why I only have two Luft's...cuz you got all the rest!!! By chance have you seen my display case in the DISPLAY portion of the Form? Your Lufts would look absolutely great on a "slat wall" cabinet. Then you could adore them all day....I would. Great colletction. Von Ryan

Wayne, If that is etched bayonets on display I for one would like to see some close up frontal shots of the cabinets if possible. I like both yours and Bobs choice of storage and I just wish I had the space to go for something similar. I have already moved my others halfs personal belongings into the garage to make room for my collection, the only thing left is HER, but need to wait until she is asleep before I attempt that . Its always good to see how other collections are displayed, especially some of the more advanced ones, Regards and thanks for showing.

Wayne,
Great display, I'm particularly partial to the oak colored one sans eagle and flag colors.
I see you have the bayonets displayed out of scabbard which makes sense, but where do you keep all the scabbards?
Bob,
Your display is also nothing to sneeze at, great piece of furniture. Did you construct it yourself or is it a factory piece?

Degens
Here are a couple of frontal pictures of the display cabinets. I'm not sure how to put them in order on this site so I might have to post them four individual times. I quickly took the pictures so they may be a bit dark but I hope you can get a better idea of the overall effect. Both LARGE cases have lighting at the top of the cabinet. When turned on, it produces a nice effect throughout the cabinet. The multi-color large display has regular glass on the sliding doors. The "sword" display has plexiglass "sliders". The bayonet cabinets(two) have car glass doors. If broken, they will not shatter. I had them made for me many years ago, but I'm sure you could put one together better than I have. I just thought you might enjoy visually looking at the daggers rather than having them out of sight. Von Ryan

Glorious display, I particularly like the red / white / black backdrop...thats a great touch. I think the flat slat wall approach is definately something I need to look into, not too obtrusive and visually ideal especially for a type collector with items of a similar appearance. With etched bayonets, the ONLY way to display these is out of the scabbards in my opinion, the designs were meant to be seen and my congratulations on a striking display Thanks for sharing!

Degens,
Thank you for the compliments...I've enjoyed looking at all the edged weapons in the wall displays for years now, just admiring (sp?) the etches gives me a great deal of satisfaction... Ever in Vegas, come see me.... Von Ryan
