Here is my KM sword with one of my KM daggers.
The sword is apparently a private purchase with no Nord or Ostsee number. It has an ivory grip and came with original hangers, portepee and sword bag (not shown here). The dagger is a Lueneschloss with a glass (or amber?) grip and a rayon portepee. The dagger hangers, well, they are just hangers.

Manfred, when I get your age, I hope to have such displays in my collection. Big Grin
Would love to see a close up of your KM glass grip.
I've never seen one and didn't know that they ever existed.

Pat: This is the grip. I tried a number of shots with the camera but it never seems to show it the way it really is. Depending on the lighting it sometimes appears bright yellow, at other times is has a slight pinkish hew to it. At least so it seams at times.

Cool pics. It is a good idea to display brocade belts with daggers. They go really well together.

Man, I miss this guy. His proverbial "junkbox" was most peoples treasure chest

In addition to his great knowledge, he is the personification of wit and good humor.... when you need a laugh you cant beat MV:

"Aahhh, To hell with the history and the bad guys and all that. I just hord as much as I can so that the next guy wont get it. And I have to agree with Earl Schreiber, sukkers are not as easy to find any more the way they usta. Thats the biggest tragedy of it all."

"This appears to be a great chat for the occasion, but ultimately nothings is gonna change. So I repeat my earlier input to the question of GDC behavior (on some earlier thread). Everybody orta be as rood, lude and crewd (spelling?) as they can in an effort to get as many people pizzed off as possible. Then we all get torqued up with eternal love and happiness in group therapy with Donnie's group hugs for all thems that are into that. Glad to be of help. Big Grin"

Nice to see you back Manfred.

If you want to criticise someone first walk a mile in their shoes. Then, when they come after you, you'll be a mile ahead and they'll be barefoot.

Your money is safe then Big Grin
