Hey, has anyone else ever noticed that the croccguard known as the "High Relief Alcoso" crossguard is the ONLY one which has oakleaves forming the wreath around the swaz? All other crozzguards that I have seen have those thinner pointed leaves (sorry forget the name). Quite a unique crossguard! Just thought I would throw that out there... Johnny

Hey Johnny, I believe the usual leaves with the pointed leaves are called Laurel Leaves. Google "Laurel leaves of victory", pletny of Roman references.

Yep- That's the one Eric (Thanks!), Laurel leaves. I just thought that it was interesting that only one crossguard used oakleaves instead of laurel leaves. Hmmmm... Looks like I had a little trouble spelling "crossguard" in that first post as well...
