Sorry it doesn't do it for me. I like the Iron Cross.
Canada replaced the VC with their own version, not impressed with that either.

I thought there was a 1958 version of the iron cross ? Regardless this new award is lackluster also giving up a 130 yr. old traditional award for PC is foolish and dangerous as would wearing a 1939 version at a JADL meeting.

Its a insult. I would throw my wwii ek1's at her, if I knew you guys wont run and pick them up. Maybe we can take all of our medals and did what the ss did at the end of the war when hitler wanted the cuff titles back. What a disgrace of a ek!!

About says it all.
I can't say the basic design looks all that bad, it does look pretty bland though.
Black enamel with silver/gold highlights would have looked nice, of course that too probably would have been unacceptable to the PC crowd.
