I had this come with a ww1 k98 bayonet. IT is several times the size of a normal frog, and much bigger than a 98/05 any ideas what this is?

Brian,
Your frog looks like an Imperial period Bavarian frog. It is hard to say what it is for, possibly a Faschinenmesser or Artillerie Seitengewehr. Some Spanish frogs were also made like this and it is hard to tell them apart from a photo. Spanish leather is generally softer and not as well tanned as German leather.
I hope this helps.
