On the base it says?????? Made of solid pot metal with a bronze coat. Hollow base-heavy. Any idea of the date of the artist? Dragon head on the breast plate. A very early type Samurai I believe. Thanks

HOUSTON- I WOULD THINK THE ERA FOR THIS STATUE IS LATE MEIJI PERIOD TO TAISHO PERIOD(CIRCA 1900-1926) THE STATUE APPEARS TO PORTRAY A SAMURAI FROM THE EARLY KAMAKURA PERIOD(12TH CENTURY). REGARDS, BOB

Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. And remember the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
