Here are some ‘Holiday’ & not previously posted Police Eagles to share.

I do like them All, …. but the Fire Polizei Fludenschmiede does have some pecularities about it.

1) Quite a ‘hook’ to the Beak…
2) Eye seems to almost ‘pop’ out above the Head…
3) Body is a bit ‘fat’ – like a pregnant Eagle…
4) Talons ‘dip’ down below the Wreath…
5) Swastica is not fully Symmetrical…

Hope it is just an interesting ‘variation.’

Dear Dave,

The fire eagles all appear to be original. the variations you describe are not unusual at all with fire eagles.

That last green one though is one being sold as a reproduction in Germany. Here is another example in an "imaginary" color combination. The spaces between the wreath leaves and the filled in white body on the reverse are characteristics of this pattern.

I am also not fond of the Suhl, but so far I have no evidence of it being reproduced and this pattern is considered OK. Sorry.

Regards,
Bill Unland

BILL ..... Thanks for your Insight & "Eagle Eyes."

That's part of what's great about Forums - we Share & Learn.

I'll chalk up the Fake Greenie as a 1st Degree burn, & not a 3rd Degree Fatality!! ........ Txs, Dave/dblmed

Thanks Gary, I thought that you'd get a 'kick' out of seeing the 1st 2 Fire Eagles!Smile + the others that I've managed to find.

So, my little 'pregnant' Red eagle is for Audenschmiede - I couldn't quite decide on the writing. Yes, I would rather see it in your extensive collection of Fire Eagles - so it will be on the way to you over the Pond toute suite! Txs, Dave/dblmed
