I'm relatively new to the hobby. I recently bought this 1st model Luftwaffe dagger. I now have a 30 day inspection period. My question is, is it original?

I'd appreciate your help.

Looks to be a nice late 1st pattern Luftwaffe dagger in decent shape. This late type has all aluminium fittings and they hold up better than the earlier pot metal based variety.
Just one question , is there a metal ring at the bottom of the grip between the grip and the crossguard? There should be one but its hard to tell from the photos.

Best wishes
Ian

Thanks for your help guys. I allready found out the hard way that not everything that is offered as original really is original. So I'm glad this one is. There is in fact a metal ring between the grip and the crossguard as Ian said.

Best wishes
