Thanks Jareth.This helmet appears to have been painted a darker green color previously.Was the "mustard" always the standard for combat helmets?Or am I seeing a "Primer"?? Thanks Geoff.

They used an orange primer for a very short period of time otherwise...Your swatch/stripe around helmet was done as a "touch up" at some point in production. You tend to see these stripes mid war.
