As a 10-11 year old living in England 1953-55, I collected both lead soldiers and toy knights. Against all odds, some 50 year later, I still have the knights.

These are the Knights of Agincout Made by the well-know maker Britains. Magificent models. Five on horseback and five on foot.

Small correction: The shields are made of stamped metal, not lead.

This great set was also sold in the USA

Very nice soldiers and collection. I'm gonna buy
couple of those as yours for my castle scale model on the rockery. They are not cheap, about 10-20 Euros a piece in the shop here.

Nicely animated pieces. Looks like you have preserved them well.
What scale are these?

Dave,

You have maintained those little guys in great condition. It is really neat to have those from your childhood.

Thanks,

Joe - they are what is called 54mm scale. The 54mm (~2") is the height of an adult figure not counting raised arms/weapons. The mounted figures are taller.

Very nice indeed Dave. Thanks for showing those beauties. Preservation of history alive and well. Cool
