How rare is the gold finished Police Eagle and Swastika by Assmann that is used on the leather cart. box? I can get a stone mint one from a veteran, but have never encountered one before this, so I don't know what to offer.

Dear sir,
The gold toned box plates were worn by the Verkehrspolizei, or traffic police, which was a relatively small organization. The gold toned eagles are, consequently; significantly more rare than the silver. Value becomes a difficult issue. I have seen them for sale within the past year from between $150-525. The $525 example sold so I would guess anything around half that amount would be a good price.

WOW, $525 is crazy!!! I would think $75-$175 is a better range. Guess these birds have really taken off!
