This is Russ III. Yeah, Lance does have a brother! I like cars and so does my Dad. I have met Mr. Hohaus in Raleigh at a military show. I think he was supprised there are two of us Neighbors boys!!! I do like the militaria but I am not as crazy about it as my brother and Dad. Before my Dad had to slow down his work and daily activites this spring for health issues we always worked on cars at night. Now he has to come to our garage behind the house and pretty much watch me. Right now I am taking apart a 69 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II Cale Yarbrough car. We are going to do it over from the ground up. We have done a 40 Ford coupe, 69 Taladega, 69 Cyclone Spoiler II Dan Gurney Car and a a 71 Cobra. We have a 63 Galaxie fastback, a 69 Cougar eliminator, a 72 Gran Torino sport 429 car. a 73 Gran Torino sport 400 cbi car, a 68 Torino Fastback 429 car with factory air, a 69 Torino Fastback my grandad's 87 thunderbird (he passed away before I ever got to meet him) my greatgrand Dad's 50 GMC pickup, my other grand Dads 50 Merc coupe & 56 Ford and what my Dad calls an off brand car- a ZR1 vette. My Dad says these cars are better than money in the bank but my Mom just shakes her head. Russ III the other Neighbors brother School is out here for a flu outbreak so get your shots!!!!

My Dad's first love is cars, especially 1940 Fords....here's his. He dabbled in daggers too, because I like them. Growing up in the sixties, I remember he ordered a 1964 Galaxie 500 with the factory racing option 427 with duel 4 barrels. Sure, it only got 3 miles to the gallon, but as a kid, it felt as if the front wheels were coming off the pavement! Wish I had that car now, hehehehe

Well growing up in the period of car cruising of 60's, and the muscle cars of the period.
Nothing better than taking a ride!
Here is my 73 stingray I had in 75.
I now have fun in my ragtop 454 chevy!
Hope others post!

Cars...another of my adictions.There was a great thread started by Johann on cars but,it's no longer here(thanks Dave ).I've been lucky to own several muscle cars over the years.My favorite being any of the 67-69 Firebird and Camaro's I've had.For now I have a 77 Vette,warmed-over L-48,Richmond 5 speed(12 years).Also a 76 Trans-Am,455 4-speed and 3:55 12 bolt(17 years).

While most of my cars have been from GM, I love all muscle cars.Trigger those Mopars are great.Back in 1981 my buddy had a 73 'cuda 340.We had a lot of good time in that car.Like an idiot I passed on a 71 GTX 440-4(1982) for $300 because I couldn't afford the car and a Christmas present for my girlfriend.I chose the wrong purchase.

Daily driver. Used to have a 911 with 'Zyklon' and an Olds with 'Dolch'. A friend had a Pontiac with 'Kreta' (he liked Paratrooper stuff). Some dude in West Texas has 'Panzer'; I check every couple of years to see if it's up for grabs but he keeps it..........

Here's an exc. Christmas present for all you car lovers. Be the first on your block to own 5 shares of Duesenberg Stock. I got this from an older woman whose house I was renovating. Out in her garage were two '37 Cords in super condition. I would rather have had either car but no such luck. She sold both of them for som fairly large bucks.

I have one '65 Mustang coupe, one 2006 Mustang Roush Stage III and my favorite...a 2002 Z-06 Corvette. The newer ones are shown in the premium members forum. I had to get the '65 for my wife or else it was gonna be a lot of jewelry...so we both won on that deal. Mark

Here's my '68 work in progress. It's got a 327, Munce 4 speed, and 12 bolt posi. I've had two over the years, including a '66 Chevelle, three four wheel drives, plus a gun collection. It's real hard to put money into all four hobbies at the same time, so I have to rotate them. Hopefully next spring I'll be able to get back to my car. Steve.
