3rd their are no markings of any kind inside of the cap.

the Cap looks good i had one that is almost the same !! i dont see nothing wrong with it !

This cap is probably a french made cap. The Frence deliberately made the caps too small in their effort of resistance, subsiquently the Germans discovered this before they were shipped off to the front and sent them back to be reworked that is why there is a join in the middle of the cap

Thanks for the replys. A French made cap may explain no markings on the inside.
