Hi All:

Here is a link to the SS dagger No. 14 372 that is for sale:

http://www.militaryantiques.co.uk/showpagec.ihtml?cat=326&jump=9

There might be a lot of information on Reichenthaler in the Archives since he had a long SS career, but I have not had the chance to look into him as of yet.

Enjoy!

Hi Lexxy,
I am not into daggers with what I consider to be
"tired" blades BUT maybe worth a look see
due to early history of Owner.

Hi All:

I was able to look into Karl Reichenthaler, SS No. 14 372 some more at the Archives. As I suspected, he had an extensive SS Officer file (101 pages) with service in the Allgemeine-SS and Waffen-SS. Here is the best of his 3 photos.

The dagger is now found at this link:

http://www.militaryantiques.co.uk/showpagec.ihtml?cat=326&jump=8

Enjoy!

Here is the front of his SS officer personnel card that documents him through 1945.

And here is the reverse. Evaluation of the dagger itself is a matter I leave to those of you with that expertise.

Doug:

I give up ... what is a 'Winkeltrager'?

I believe that a 'winkel' is a chevron.

Hi Seiler:

His ZA number was 5909. It was on another earlier service record.
