The material it is made from looks good. The ultra poor quality wool is not available easily now. The marking is bizarre, did it come from a museum or similar where they inventory marked items? Are there any size/depot markings like -
00 00 00 00 00 A00
Where 00 is a number, and A is a one or two letter abbreviation.
I like the look of it.

When I posted the above, the auto editor took out the leading and extra spaces in my diagram. Excuse the dots, but this might be more indicative - 00..00 ..00 00..00 .A00
