Shepard, there are a lot of variants of 1 Mod. Lufts. Early, late, middle, transitional, period material mix and much more. Generally (whatever variant) for me a dagger for 1250 USD should be in near to mint, undamaged state with perfect leather and blade. Lightly worn but as said no wearing damages. My personal thoughts. the leather is perfect and is in about the same shape. IS tere an easy way to spot a fake by the Eickhorn logo like you can with a Holler??

I don't think there are any eickhorn fakes, but still be carefull...like always. Don't feel pressured to buy it because you are on holiday. That dagger will not be snapped up quickly for that money, so you have time.
Good luck,
Peter
Kind regards,
