Does the engraving on the blades of the forestry daggers always show the game scenes going from the quillion to the tip showing the action of the hunter ??- I saw on sell on Eban that I was sure was correct but the hunter was pointing his rifle towards the grip - Is there any rule to follow here - Always appreciate good information to use in the future -

A lot depends on which period you may be collecting, the variation of blade etches in the Imperial period is never ending, that doesn't include the unique presentation etches that can be found, many of the 3rd Reich manufacturerers used similar etches, not all are the same though. They run all ways, some will run towards the tip if you hold it in your left hand others will run the other way, a lot depends on the manufacturer, some even run vertically.
