It's KLAAS. Are the parts correct. Supposedly the grip is the core of this type of Dagger. Thank you

The scabbard bands should have an astric (*) on the non ring side. Also, I would like to see the TM.
Looks like a nice dagger to me.

Here is the picture. Is the pomel correct on this piece? When I screw it on, the grip feels a little loose.

Please keep in mind I am only filling in while the experts are at the SOS.
Your dagger looks totally correct to me. I half way suspect that until you took it apart, it had been un touched.
As to the grip. There is usually some shrinkage to the leather washer which causes the grips to be a little loose. I do not recommend trying to tighten the grip as you might strip something.
Past that, this looks really good.
But, please keep in mind that many people do not consider this to be a Railway dagger, but rather an army dagger where the paint has come off the grip. This, of course, makes any discussion of hangers for this model, mute.
Just my opinion,
Jim

#4 Hope this is some help.My 1st R.R. has no traces of white on the grip(maybe it was cleaned good)bought 20 +yrs ago when this was the norm for a "1 st R.R." I don't know if Klass was an in-house mfg of all parts.TW Army book states they did use different mfg. guards on there Armys.

FYI The black Klaas grips are a few millimeters longer than the other Klaas grips.

I'm with Kevin on this one. IMHO this is the 3rd type Alcoso crossguard. In my experience Klaas did not use Alcoso parts but who knows I am always learning...

Dave: According to your "Mentor" "If it ain't a Klaas it ain't no good"! The Pima Air Museum here in Tucson has a 2nd Model Luft on display with Army hangers. Jon Shallcross is right about the grip length from what Wittmann told me. Jim

Yes Jim, Klaas army grips in general, not just 1st rails, are a wee bit longer than other grips.

Paul,
Your right about Klaas army grips being a hair longer than some makers but the black Klaas grips are longer then Klaas army grips.
