Hey guys! Here's a question for you guys....is there any reason why there may have ever been a black HJ buckle introduced and/or used? I've posted on other forums but have not had any luck in getting any type of response yet... Here's why I ask: I have two Assman crankcatch HJ buckles - one, when compared to the other, is very dark! Yes, it could be a patina but in some places, it looks like it was painted black. It's hard to picture and I've tried my best....but I'd like your opinions on this. Personally, I've never heard of black HJ buckles....but I'd love to hear if this was a possibility! Have a look gang!
Cheers!
Rob

rob I have never seen or heard of any official regulation that would include a black painted buckle for the HJ, also, if there was , I would think we would have come across a few more buckles in this condition. I think your buckle was either stored in a way that it reacted with something which turned it black, or someone painted it in the past .. nothing more, nothing less.. Chad

Hey Chad! How are you buddy! Thanks for helping out. I too had never heard of black HJ's but wanted to make sure. I appreciate you confirming my initial impressions! Have a good one!
