Hello,
Here is a photo of the "NEW" edition of the reproduction "Ski Leader" badge being made in Germany. The front looks good to me. Thankfully they don't want to put any effort into finishing the reverse. If they did it might be problematic. JoeW and some that own these might be interested in seeing this.
This has had the paint/enamel on the front worn away to simulate age and oxidation.

Bill, I wouldn't worry. It seems to be a pretty poor repro, almost identical to those sold by Globe in the 1980s. I have never seen any oxidation on an original. You know, if this is new, I think someone reproed the repro that was being sold in Germany over the past several years as original. One was in a photo posted in a past thread and included the original document.
