I have shown this cap quite a while ago. I have a better camera now and PaulR asked me to post some photos of it. I would be grateful for opinions on this cap. I have tried to photo the important areas. I believed it to be HG Division, but, who else could have worn? It came out of a collection in Italy.
Thanks Gents,
Harry

That caps a beauty! Like the steinuss button on the front. Luft field div...your assessment could be quite right.

I like the hat too. I am far from an expert on M43's as I have only had two. I like the manner in which the eagle is placed. I feel that you might have a very rare piece...

What color is the eagle... LW blue or Heer Field Grey? It seems to match the hat well, so I cannot tell for sure.

Paul

Very nice cap. I would be interested in buying if you're thinking of letting it go.
Cheers

Wanted to bump this back to the top. I saw that Germanmilitaria.com has a twin to this cap right down to the size and numbers inside. They have it priced at 3395.00. I have this hat on a styrofoam display head to keep it's shape. My question is, is there a safer way to store it, maybe inside a plastic display case etc. If so, any idea where to get one in the right size?
Thanks!

I use a sponge like this to keep my caps in shape. Fits in all hats of various sizes.

Any objections?

Nice cover!
I like the sponge idea. My former display idea,
(kept on a shelf with a mothball under each.)
Photobucket
...Now they, (*the real ones), are stored in airtight bags.
A note, the authentic ones, always leave an "oil stain" on the poster-board after a while.
cheers

Thanks for the replies. When I bought it, it had the sponge inside to hold the shape. I am more concerned about moths feasting on it.
Thanks again,

I appreciate your input. Could you explain what you don't like? It appears, to my eye anyway, to be a twin of the one on the germanmilitaria.com website. Could you point out differences??? Thanks,

Harry
