Happy New Year! The following photos are of Oberst Wilhelm Fuehrmann's bergmutz that I just obtained. I know the normal insignia was the T form, but this example has Trap. form, a little more common on the later war bergmutz. This cap, and his winter coat, (which I will receive soon) were taken from Fuehrmann from US Col. Charles Downey. The cap is in wonderful condition and is obviously private purchase. Note the edelweiss is backed in black cloth. The lining is marked, but does not show in photos, Sprengpfeil Mutzenfabrik Hamburg 19. Col. Fuehrmann served with Gebirgs Nachrichten Abteilung 67, 2 Gebirgs Division.
