Just got these two HJ's indirectly from the vet through a fellow collector. I am not a dagger guy really, but it still goes to show that there are stone mint daggers out there waiting to be found. These two were obviously not issued and picked up by the vet together.
Just thought I would show some picks of these minty ones Wink

The leather is still supple and not dried out. Both scabbards are anodized and show only minor storage scuffs.

Nice deep mottos with full crossgrain. Probably not been out of their scabbards much.

Blades are stone mint. Hard to really show the true condition with digital pictures and my average photography skills.

Great twin you got there, congratulations!

Have not seen many of those double marked Eickhorn HJ's without the year stamped in the ricasso. These are 38 or earlier anyway.

Best greetings,

Herman

Great pair of HJ's. What I found interesting is the different size rivets and leather on the scabbards. Any one would like these in their collection.

Is the area around the swastika silver or gold colored? I thought they were supposed to be gold but I have one that is just "clean looking" and wondered if the gold had rubbed off. Nice condition. Charlie

The area around the swastika is just tarnished. And yes the scabbards are a little different, even the shape is different.
